Chapter Auxiliaries
Las Patronas Auxiliary
The first Debutante Presentation Ball was held in 1958 under the sponsorship
of Associate and Active chapter members and the 12 O’Clockers Auxiliary.
The Las Patronas Auxiliary was formed in 1962 to sponsor, plan and
direct the Annual Debutante Ball.
Young women from Ventura County are presented to guests at the Presentation
Ball. Proceeds from the event are contributed to support the chapter’s
philanthropic programs.
Nancy R. Brandt Auxiliary
The Nancy R. Brandt Auxiliary (NRB) was certified in 1990. Membership
consists of professional women who are employed 20 hours or
more a week. Meetings are held in the evenings to accommodate their
members. In 2001 the Assault Survivor Kits® philanthropic program
was established by the auxiliary to provide the distribution of new
clothing and personal
items to victims of abuse. This service is in partnership with Safe
Harbor through the Ventura County District Attorney's Office. Victims
of family violence, sexual assault, child abuse
or elder abuse are provided with emergency assistance. NRB hosts
a major fundraiser “Come Travel With Us”, held annually
in March. Funds raised at this event support the Assault Survivor
Kit Program and the chapter’s philanthropic programs. Auxiliary members
also volunteer their time at the Teen Club
If you are interested in attending the NRB Fundraiser, please contact the Chapter
House for ticket information.
Assisteens
Members are young men and women who enter seventh through 12th
grade. Assisteens is a vibrant organization for teens dedicated to volunteering
in our community.

Members in Assisteens Auxiliary are responsible for attending six regular meetings
held on the second Sunday of each month at 4:30 p.m. Meetings are held
monthly from September to May. Participation in a minimum of 20 hours annually
of volunteer service is also required. Teens learn tasks which prepare
them to better their lives and the community they live in. They learn leadership
skills, how to conduct meetings; budgeting monies earned from fundraising
events, following through with commitments; volunteering in community programs
to help others; planning and organizing events and banking procedures.
The hours can be listed on their college application towards community
service. Their red T-shirts make their presence known when volunteering
at community events. At the end of September, 2011, membership totaled
83. Annual dues are +$25.00.
